Drinks in the school: clean water, preferably in reusable containers.

Food in the school: please do not bring food into the school. If you do, please make sure it is entirely organic. Sometimes you will see the staff or helpers eating in a common area; they’ve been here all day – ask them about their food!

We ask that all payments be made in cash. We do not accept credit or debit cards. We do not like checks and only accept them when necessary. Please show respect to your teacher and pay in CASH whenever possible. When paying by check please make out to TDS or Mountain Warrior Kung Fu.

Other Fees Include:

  • Cost of Uniform: $50/one time
  • Annual Insurance Cost: $40/year

We are closed two times a year for one week each time: the week of the 4th of July and the week of Christmas/New Years. If your tuition is due during one of these times then please pay beforehand to help keep the doors open for our return.

  • It is your responsibility to have a clean well kept uniform which is to be worn at each class.
  • If you cannot make it to class please call and let us know. This simple courtesy call is deeply appreciated.

Uniforms are required; please, within your abilities, always dress in your Kung Fu uniform for class.

How long it takes to get to the next belt rank is completely up to you. Most people that practice the self discipline to make it to Black Belt will take somewhere between 4 and 8 years. Some people may move faster and some may move slower. That is irrelevant. You are here for your own individual growth with no comparison to anyone else in the school. I will push you to achieve your best performance and gain as much out of your training as possible. But remember, you are still the one that has to do the work. The only way to see substantial growth is to push yourself outside of your comfort zone.

The individual belt rank requirements can be found either on the wall at the Kung Fu school or on the student web site. Please check the requirements frequently. They will change from time to time to reflect what it is that I feel a student should be gaining from their training here at the Mountain Warrior Kung Fu Academy. I am always in search of a better way to help my students achieve their goals in Kung Fu.
